The Fyfield country walk is a scenic circular walk using the network
of ancient trackways and footpaths in the Parishes of Fyfield, Abbess, Beauchamp and Berners
Roding,
and Willingale. A good place to start is in the Village of Fyfield. The whole route is 8.5
kilometres (5.5 miles) and will take three to four hours to complete at a steady pace. There are
two shortcuts which you can take: one of them goes down Perryfield Lane and is 7kms (4.5 miles) and
the other, following a tributary to the River Roding, is 2kms (1.5 miles). All the routes are
waymarked in both directions, with the distinctive yellow and green discs
